Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Victor Ortiz Fight

One of the most interesting match this 2017 is the upcoming fight by Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and  Conor McGregor. You might be shocked when you hear about this. You already thought that the Floyd already retired and will not fight again after the Pacquiao fight. And you also hear the fighter McGregor not in boxing but in mixed martial arts in UFC. So how these guys will meet in the ring?

Well, it all started with foul mouth and exchanged of trash talks of the two which ended up to a multi-million boxing event that will definitely earn a lot. Mayweather is undefeated and still got the highest paid boxer title in the world while McGregor is a hot cake that every single UK viewers, even US viewers will definitely watch kick the ass of Floyd. Of course they will not fight inside a cage but it will be a boxing match.

It will be an exchange of punches not choking or wrestling. Of course, I am hoping that these will wrestle but I guess this will never happen ever.

Back to Mayweather vs. McGregor fight, well, the match will happen in Las Vegas in August 2017.

My guess, a Mayweather vs Pacquiao rematch will happen maybe in 2018. The fight Pacquiao vs. Horn happens in July and its an indication that there's a possibility that Floyd will surely have another negotiation with the Pacquiao's camp and I think fans deserve a rematch after the shoulder injury fiasco. Well, let see if that happens.



For the meantime, let's find out if who will win between Mayweather and McGregor.

After the not so impressive conclusion of Mayweather vs. Ortiz, the undisputed American boxer will be facing yet another strong contender that will challenge his unblemished record. This time he will be exchanging blows against the Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto and will try to grab the current Super Welterweight belt of the latter.

The said Mayweather vs. Cotto fight is dubbed as "Ring Kings" and will be held on May 5 of this year at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada USA. Aside from this great bout of champions, the undercard fights are simply amazing!

The pre-fight that will be feature includes Shane Mosley versus Saul Alvarez and Jessie Vargas versus Alfonso Gomez.

Now, is that enough for you to watch Mayweather vs. Cotto fight? My answer, well, hell yeah! It will be explosive and I don't want to miss it. I am wondering if Mayweather lost this fight then what will happen to Mayweather vs. Pacquiao later? Just asking!

I am really a fan of boxing fights and this Mayweather vs. Ortiz this September 17, 2011, really raise my enthusiasm in boxing specially with Victor Ortiz as he returns from his previous defeat and now defending his gained WBC Welterweight Title versus the most controversial and undefeated former Olympic boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr. This is the greatest reason why I will watch Mayweather vs. Ortiz live online or offline (via TV coverage only - live or delayed. The young and vicious Ortiz will be trying to deliver the biggest upset in the life of Mayweather in front of thousands of live witness at the mecca of boxing in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand Garden Arena on 9/17/2011 which falls with the Mexican Independence week. His motivation is strong and his champion heart keeps him from aiming a reign that some greatest fighters have received with their career. Meanwhile, Mayweather's pressure is different. He is doing  this to maintain his name from the top. His undefeated record makes him believe that he is the greatest among all the boxers in the world. This is the reason why a lot of boxers out there wants to try her might. Among them are Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan, Andre Berto, Miguel Cotto, etc.

However, his reluctance to fight some fighters such as Pacquiao and Cotto makes his wins and even his courage questionable. This changed! That's when he fight the much younger and much stronger southpaw champion, Victor Ortiz. It is a dangerous choice but Mayweather wants to prove something. In an interview with Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao during his world media tour for the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Marquez III, he said that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is much faster compared to the young and vicious Victor Ortiz. Despite the fact that he received several negative praises from the undisputed fighter, Floyd, Pacquiao still gives a fair assessment on what possible result will happen for this Mayweather vs Ortiz match.

It is still SPEED will be the factor that will great affect the result of the fight and Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s speed will be too much for the strength of Victor Ortiz. That's the point of Pacquiao on his statement. Aside from that, it is best that Floyd wins this match so that they can push the Pacquiao-Mayweather. If Floyd losses to this match, it will be the end of his career and I think Pacquiao will still accept his challenge despite his possible lost.

After the family feud drama of the Mayweathers and Ortiz's family drama, what to expect from the 2nd episode of HBO 24/7 Mayweather vs Ortiz which is scheduled on September 3, 2011? Are we seeing the same quarrel from Floyd's camp? Well, maybe some of you are already tired of that but Ortiz story is new and this will surely give us light on what is happening behind his rise and fall and rise again of his career.

I was so impressed on how Ortiz managed to still pursue with his boxing dream despite the losses he got plus the different obstacles he is facing in his life. He is really a champion by heart. I also salute his trainers! Imagine they still give time to help Ortiz prepare for this big fight despite great obligations from their day job (one of the trainer is working in a softdrinks company driving daily for delivery.)

As for Mayweather, he is still the kind of fighter that is acting so 'diva' because of his undefeated record. That is his disadvantage here. He didn't ever felt in his boxing career the feeling of being lost. This is the reason that in case he is defeated on this match, he will surely can't describe the feeling. Of course he is not expecting the defeat because he is not accepting the possibilities.
